Rtronix has developed technically efficient and cost effective solution, using highly bandwidth efficient encoders, for the purpose of electronic News Gathering. The solution has been engineered on XVD Encoders , which offer Real time compression at data rates from 500 kbps to 5 mbps using real time Video compression technology. The XVD’s patented Video Codec provides much higher performance and efficiency than other block based Video compression systems. The Video Codec optimized for the human visual system adds several unique features including Automatic scene change detection, Object Motion estimation and CBR/VBR bit control to improve Video Quality at dramatically lower data rates. The facility of VOIP is also provided in this system. The RF used in this system is also optimized through usage of low bandwidth carriers.

  • As the solution is IP oriented, voice connectivity between remote locations and the Studio can be achieved VOIP solutions. The eliminates RF back off in the event of separate carrier for Voice connectivity.
  • The IP interface eliminates Encryption of the signals, which is mandatory as per the MIB guidelines.
  • Resultant RF sizing is also optimized through usage of low bandwidth carriers.
  • Low weight and compact BUC’s resulting in direct feed mount of the RF units, thereby reducing the RF losses.
  • Very low power consumption. Battery backup for over 4 hours due to low power consuming elements.
  • The system is IP based and hence the transmission is protected from unauthorized access.
